PinSpecimen privacy policy for field records.
This Privacy Policy explains how STAŃCZAK handles privacy for the PinSpecimen mobile application and the public stanczak.ink website. The app is designed as an offline entomology field companion for specimen records, GPS locality notes, taxonomy references, scientific label queues, and occurrence maps.

Privacy for an offline-ready specimen notebook.
PinSpecimen helps entomologists, researchers, and naturalists document insect specimens with taxonomy references, locality data, environmental notes, collection metrics, scientific label queues, and occurrence maps. The public website does not require registration, login, account creation, user profiles, or authorization.

What information is collected?
Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy applies to the PinSpecimen mobile application and related services operated by STAŃCZAK SP Z O O (“STAŃCZAK”, “Service Provider”, “we”, “our”, or “us”).
The Application does not collect, log, store, sell, or share personal information when you download and use it. Registration is not required.
No accounts or authorization
PinSpecimen and the public STAŃCZAK website do not require user accounts, login, registration, passwords, user profiles, member areas, or admin dashboards for normal use.
Local app records
If you save specimen names, taxonomy selections, order and family values, region filters, GPS coordinates, latitude, longitude, elevation, country, locality descriptions, microhabitat notes, host plants, weather notes, collection methods, life stages, quantities, label queue entries, occurrence map points, dashboard counters, or app settings, those records are intended to remain on your device unless a future feature clearly states otherwise.
Precise location information
PinSpecimen is designed for locality records that the user controls. The Service Provider does not collect precise real-time location data from your device, does not retain GPS data on its servers, and does not use location records for tracking.
Third-party access
Because the Application does not collect personal information, no personal data is shared with third parties. STAŃCZAK does not sell personal data.
Technical network data
If the Application or website is used with an active internet connection, ordinary technical protocol data, such as an ephemeral IP address, may be transmitted to facilitate connectivity. This is not retained by the Application for tracking.
Children
The Application is not intended for children under 13 years of age, or any higher age required by applicable law. The Service Provider does not knowingly solicit personal data from children or market to them.
Scientific and responsible-use notice
PinSpecimen is an offline entomology field companion, specimen logging utility, taxonomy reference, GPS locality recorder, environmental notes logbook, scientific label queue, occurrence map, and collection metrics tool. It is not certified taxonomy authority software, legal collecting permit software, biodiversity compliance software, professional ecological survey certification, medical entomology diagnostic software, pest-control advisory software, or a replacement for professional taxonomic review, local collection laws, protected species regulations, institutional research protocols, or expert scientific judgment.
Data Retention
We do not retain app data.
STAŃCZAK does not operate a server-side account system for PinSpecimen and does not retain personal information from normal app use. Field records created inside the Application remain under the user’s control on the device. If you uninstall the Application, locally stored app data may be removed according to your device and operating system behavior.
Voluntary contact
If you contact STAŃCZAK directly by email or through a contact form, we may keep your message only as long as needed to respond to your request, handle support, maintain business records, or comply with applicable legal obligations.
Previous policy versions
Previous versions of this Privacy Policy may be maintained and made available upon request for transparency.
Data Deletion
You control local records.
Because the Application does not collect personal information through normal use, there is no personal app data for STAŃCZAK to delete from its servers. You can remove local Application data by using available in-app controls, device storage settings, or uninstalling the Application.
Deletion requests
If you voluntarily provided information to STAŃCZAK by email or another direct channel, you may request deletion of that information by contacting support@stanczak.ink.
Consent withdrawal
If processing is based on consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time without affecting processing carried out before withdrawal.
Security and breach notification
Because the Application does not collect personal data through normal use, the risk of personal data exposure from app use is minimal. No system is completely secure. If a breach occurs involving any data you voluntarily provided to STAŃCZAK, we will notify you as required by applicable law.
Changes
Policy updates.
STAŃCZAK may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted with an updated effective date, and where required by law, consent will be requested before material changes take effect.
